Los Angeles-based massage therapist Gina DeJesus filed a lawsuit Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court alleging she was falsely accused by another masseuse in the city.
Los Angeles police officers detained DeJesus and accused her of seducing a masseuse and attempting to kidnap her while they were on vacation in Hawaii last fall, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The lawsuit says DeJesus, 52, of the Pacific Palisades, attempted to hide her identity by posing as an 18-year-old woman in the Philippines.
She then allegedly told her fellow masseuses to cover up their identities and to “stay at home,” the newspaper said.
DeJesus, who said she has been performing massage services for 17 years, says she’s been accused of seduction, conspiracy, kidnapping, conspiracy to commit kidnapping and other charges, and her clients have been subjected to harassment, violence and physical violence.
The allegations are false, the lawsuit says.
DeJesus claims her clients and other masseuses have suffered serious bodily injuries, including multiple broken bones, facial fractures and injuries to their eyes and ears.
