A man was arrested for allegedly raping a masseuse in Barcelona on Saturday, the Catalan government said.
The 37-year-old, identified only as Luis, was arrested by officers in the city’s suburb of Alcanar, the mayor’s office said in a statement.
He faces charges of “sexual assault on a person over 18 years old”.
The arrest comes two days after the incident, which occurred on Saturday in Alcanary.
Police said they were searching for another man who was in the same apartment, which is located in Alcaro, about 15 minutes’ drive from Barcelona.
The police statement said police are also searching for a third person who was at the scene but could not be immediately identified.
“We are looking for the third suspect,” the statement said.
Luis, who was reported missing on Tuesday, was released on bail pending a preliminary investigation.
He is scheduled to appear in court on September 16.
Gay masseuse A masseuse has claimed she was attacked by a man she met online, while they were streaming a massage.
A masseur and two other masseuses who were in a private massage room in Alcaire were among those who spoke to the news agency AFP news agency on Thursday.
They said the man told them that he had had a relationship with a masseuser for about three years.
“He told us that the man was really good at massage,” the masseuse told Reuters news agency.
“The masseuse said she was sexually assaulted.
I am scared to come out to my customers.”
A source told AFP the man said he had “sex with her a few times” and that she was only 16 years old.
“I am not sure if this is the right thing to say but it’s really sad,” the source said.
“She’s not even 15.”
In August, another masseuse filed a police complaint alleging she had been attacked by another man after she refused to perform oral sex on him.
Police have not said if any charges are pending against the other man.
The Alcanarias mayor’s press office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
